Presenter Matthew Wright and his wife Amelia are celebrating the birth of their first child together after trying for almost a decade with IVF.
The former host of The Wright Stuff kept fans in the loop by tweeting a message from his spouse yesterday to let them know the birth was imminent.
It read: “Just received the following: ‘Ok we are having a baby this evening or basically As soon as you get here. you will be taken to the labour ward and given blue pyjamas to wear. Xx’.”
Their baby girl Cassady Frances Wright was born at 6:22pm yesterday evening weighing five and a half pounds, according to The Sun.

Matthew, 53, and Amelia, 40, later confirmed to Hello’s website that “mother and baby (and father) are doing very well”.
The two have wanted a baby for many years, having gone through several heartbreakingly unsuccessful rounds of IVF treatment.
Matthew also told Hello that this seventh attempt would be their last if it didn’t work.
“It was our final roll of the dice,” he admitted.

He appeared on Lorraine with Amelia to reveal the pregnancy last September.
Matthew explained during the show he was determined to make fatherhood his number one priority – and even teared up as he and his wife received congratulatory video messages from celeb pals.
The TV star quit Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff live on air last year, telling fans the chat show he’d hosted for 18 years was causing him stress and a lack of sleep.
He said at the time: “The decision to leave was made slightly reluctantly at first, but when I look back now, after 18 years of early mornings doing the same kind of thing, that’s probably enough.”
In November, he revealed he was still suffering from sleepless nights due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, attributed to strain from his job.
Matthew told The Sun:”It’s difficult to deal with. I thought maybe [the insomnia was] just because I’m used to waking up early in the morning, but the doctor said, ‘No, it is a sign of post-traumatic stress’.”
He now hosts a weekday afternoon programme called The Matthew Wright Show on chat station talkRADIO.
