Second operation on the cards for Max George after heart surgery

Midway through December, Max was rushed to hospital after suffering from issues with his heart. The star was left terrified by the ordeal, confessing that he thought he was going to die.

It was found that the star’s pulse was too low and, as a result, he required a pacemaker.

In the lead up to Christmas, the star was fitted with a pacemaker and is now recovering at his home in Manchester.

However, the star is now set for more surgery – with doctors needing to investigate enlarged lymph nodes in his lungs.

Doctors find enlarged lymph nodes in Max George’s lungs

Speaking to The Sun, Max confirmed he could be heading back to hospital soon.

“The doctors have discovered enlarged lymph nodes on my lung,” he said.

“This could be a sign of what caused my heart problems. I’ve got to have a lung biopsy in a couple of weeks. It sounds pretty gnarly. It might tell us what the cause was,” he then added.

Max wrote will in hospital bed before heart surgery

In an interview with The Sun, Max also revealed that he was so worried he’d die as a result of his heart issues, that he actually wrote his will on his phone in his hospital bed.

“That first night I wrote a will, I thought I was going to die. If I could go from being absolutely on top of the world to being told ‘the bottom part of your heart isn’t working’, I kept thinking in my head, well, what if the top half stops working overnight?” he said.

“When you get told that you really realise what your responsibilities are. I’ve got a partner, Maisie, I’ve got a family. I’ve got two little nephews and all of that stuff really comes to the front of it all,” he then added.
