Harry Judd and his wife Izzy welcomed their second child in August – but Harry has revealed that the road to parenthood took its toll on the couple.

The pair met in 2005 and married in 2012 and were keen to start a family as soon as possible.
But Izzy was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, which led to difficulties conceiving that put an unexpected strain on the relationship.
Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, Harry opened up about the couple’s tumultuous journey.
“Izzy so desperately wanted to be a mother and so as soon as we realised there was a problem, it took over her life,” the McFly drummer said.
The couple began IVF treatment to try and conceive, and the medication led to side effects for Izzy. Harry spoke about the effects the process had on his wife, with weight gain, bloating and an impact on her emotional state.
He claimed that the longer their attempt to conceive went on, the more their lives began to revolve around it, making it harder to enjoy their day to day lives.
“The dynamic changed because all the focus was on getting pregnant and in a way I lost her a little bit,” Harry said. “I lost that smiley, confident, beautiful wife.
“Our wedding had been the happiest day of our lives – cut to a year later and she’s in absolute despair,” he continued.
“I remember after two years thinking: ‘God, we haven’t even had a kid and already I’m sick of this.’ It was constant but I felt I couldn’t get frustrated at her.”

The struggles were made worse in 2014, when the couple succeeded in conceiving via IVF, only to lose the child to a miscarriage.
Finally, two years later, Izzy gave birth to a daughter, Lola.
The pair then welcomed their son, Kit, who they’ve dubbed a miracle. After their trials with IVF for Lola, Kit was conceived naturally.
