It has been reported that Meghan is losing her third member of staff as she prepares to become a mum for the first time.
The Duchess of Sussex’s assistant private secretary Amy Pickerill has quit her role with the royal, according to reports.
Amy plans to take her leave following the birth of Meghan and Prince Harry’s first child this spring.
She was expected to replace Meghan’s private secretary Samantha Cohen after the birth, but Samantha is also reportedly leaving once the royal baby is born. Samantha used to be the Queen’s assistant private secretary.
Meghan is apparently “very sad” about the decision.
Amy and Meghan were reportedly close and will continue to keep in touch, according to a royal insider.
A source told Harper’s Bazaar: “Amy is leaving after the arrival of the baby. The Duchess will be very sad to see her go, but is excited for her as Amy has exciting plans ahead including spending some time abroad.
“Amy had originally planned on staying until at least the end of the year, but with the baby coming it makes sense to help recruit someone now who can pick up when The Duchess returns to her official work.”

They added: “They will definitely stay in touch and Amy will be on hand for any advice and help that is needed in the future.”
Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, are now gearing up to move from Kensington Palace in London to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where they will raise their little one.

In November, Meghan’s personal assistant Melissa Touabti quit after six months at the job. Melissa previously worked for singer Robbie Williams.
In January, the former Suits actress’ bodyguard also left his role.
