Royal fans have been ecstatic at the sight of the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex sitting together for the Wimbledon women’s final.
Both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle looked elegant and stylish as they turned out in the Royal Box this afternoon alongside Kate’s sister Pippa.
Kate, wearing a bespoke green D&G midi dress, and Meghan – in a white pleated skirt and blouse – arrived to the venue in south-west London earlier today separately, with Kate thought to have lunched with former champions beforehand.
But supporters of the pair were delighted to see them looking relaxed and chatting with one another as the title-deciding match between Serena Williams and Simon Halep began on Centre Court.

“I’m peaking! Serena, Meghan and Kate! Together!!! This is going to be EPIC! #Wimbledon2019,” tweeted one excitable fan.
“Meghan and Kate in the royal box! #Wimbledon,” exclaimed another.
Another onlooker claimed the ovation for Kate and Meghan exceeded that for the players as they made their way onto the court.
“On the hill outside @Wimbledon centre court… fans cheered louder for Simona than Serena but loudest for Meghan and Kate #Wimbledon,” they tweeted.

However, another person wondered why Meghan was sat in between siblings Kate and Pippa.
They asked: “What’s the royal protocol for where Kate and Meghan are sitting? Why isn’t Kate sitting next to her own sister??”
Kate and Meghan – who have been at the centre of feud rumours for months – both attended the exclusive tennis event last year, too.
But Meghan in particular will probably be hoping to witness a reversal of fortune for her friend Serena – a seven-time Wimbledon winner – who came up short in last year’s final.
Other famous faces in attendance for the final included Cliff Richard, Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker and Prime Minister Theresa May.
Earlier this week Meghan came under fire after it was reported protection officers requested photos were not taken of the Duchess as she visited SW19 because she was there in “a private capacity”.
