Scary Spice Mel B reckons the Spice Girls “owe it” to their fans to perform at Glasto.
The 44-year-old has insisted the 90s pop favourites will continue touring following their latest reunion which saw them take to stages for 13 gig dates across Europe earlier this summer.
But it seems fans may have to pack their wellies for one specific showing by the band in future, if Mel B’s hopes are realised.
Speaking on the Radio 2 breakfast show, Mel insisted the time could be right for the Spices to debut at the Somerset festival as it celebrates a big milestone.

She said: “I said seven years ago we are going to go on tour and you know what, it just happens to be Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary next year, I think that would be a really good thing to do.
Hinting any deal to bring her, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel C to Glastonbury may not be finalised, Mel continued: “The girls are going to kill me for saying it but I don’t care, I think we owe it to our fans and ourselves. I would love that.”
According to Mirror Online, Mel has previously indicated that a Glastonbury special has been discussed.
But last month a publicity rep apparently denied it was on the cards.

However, it seems Mel is still keen on filling the legend’s slot which saw Kylie finally make her Glastonbury bow during this year’s event.
Another 1990s star, Liam Gallagher, also enjoyed a prominent slot for his solo set during June’s show.
“I definitely want to do that,” Mel told radio host Zoe Ball.
And although Mel hopes the Spices will head down under in February 2020 and also release new tracks, it seems unlikely the band will be getting back together in full.
Earlier this month Victoria Beckham explained her decision not to be part of the most recent comeback by insisting her priorities are elsewhere.
She told Vogue Germany: “It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again.
“To be the one who says, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to.’
“I’d rather concentrate on my family and my company.
“I’m 45 now and very happy to be the woman I am … I’m not trying to change, I want to be the best version of myself. Before I turned 40, I wasn’t that confident.
“I learned to listen to my gut feeling.”
