EastEnders plans more misery for Louise and Phil Mitchell

Fans of the BBC1 soap saw Louise taken hostage by her own mother, Lisa Fowler

Next week will see EastEnders’ Louise Mitchell and her dad Phil have a heart-to-heart following her kidnap ordeal.

Louise (Tilly Keeper) hasn’t had a particularly easy time of late after being subjected to the will of the school bullies, Alexandra and Madison, an ordeal which eventually led to her being pushed into a table of candles and being badly burned.

As she was recovering in hospital, Louise’s mother Lisa Fowler, (Lucy Benjamin), turned up and for a while they were playing happy families.

But then things turned when we discovered Lisa was mentally unwell and hadn’t been taking her medication.

Thinking she was protecting her daughter from evil Phil, Lisa kidnapped her from the hospital and held her hostage in a hotel room during a psychotic episode.

A very poorly Louise really needed to go back to the hospital and have her antibiotics, but Lisa was too far gone to realise the danger she was putting her girl in.

Lou’s dad, Phil (Steve McFadden) and his partner Sharon (Letitia Dean) discovered the pair in a hotel and rescued Louise.

But the dramatic kidnap and seeing Lisa’s emotional state has been an eye-opener for Louise and is playing heavily on her mind.

For once, Phil actually shows a sensitive side and can see that she’s struggling. He reaches out to her and the pair have a heart to heart about everything that’s happened and where Lou’s head is at.

An EastEnders’ source said: “After everything that’s happened, Sharon and Phil grow concerned about Louise, and Phil has a touching heart-to-heart with his daughter. But will Louise open up about what’s on her mind?”

Can Phil find his softer side to help his daughter deal with her emotions?

Or will recent events just be too much for Louise to cope with? Is there more misery ahead for the Mitchells as Phil tries to help the teen cope?

The scenes will air during Monday’s episode.
