Reality show Ex On The Beach won’t be showing scenes featuring Mike Thalassitis, following the Love Island star’s tragic death.
Mike filmed the MTV series earlier this year. But his final TV appearance won’t make it on screen after he was found dead in woodland near his London home last Saturday.
MTV has now confirmed to Ent Daily that the entire show has been cancelled in the wake of the awful event.
A representative for MTV told Ent Daily: “We were very sad to hear the tragic news about Mike Thalassitis and our thoughts are with his family and friends. Last year, Mike took part in filming for the next series of Ex on the Beach, which was due to air on MTV later in the year.
“In light of the news of Mike’s death, we have decided not to broadcast the planned tenth season of the show.”
A source also told The Sun: “Bosses have decided that in the grand scheme of things that there are more important concerns than pulling a series.
“Who knows if it will ever eventually see the light of day but for the foreseeable future they agreed it would be insensitive to Mike’s friends and family to air it. It’s not a decision they have taken lightly as series like this do not come cheap.”
Series ten of Ex On The Beach was set to rival dating show Love Island this year.
The show sees a group of singletons live on a tropical island as their ex-partners are thrown into the mix without warning.
In September, it was revealed that Mike had signed up to star in the show following his break-up with Megan McKenna. Megan appeared on the third series of Ex On The Beach.

Mike’s body was discovered hanging in woods in Edmonton last week. He was just 26-years-old.
As well as a stint on Ex On The Beach, he had been planning to open a new restaurant with a friend.
Many of Mike’s fellow celebrities and friends have paid tribute to him, including 26-year-old Megan.
She posted on Instagram: “Sorry I haven’t been on social media but I’m in complete shock and trying to come to terms with this. I can’t believe I’m even writing this post.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Mikes family
“Rest in peace Mike. (sic)”
