Nadia Sawalha made her Loose Women co-stars green with envy as she recounted all the details of her whirlwind trip to LA, including a visit to Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field’s mansion.
And while we weren’t surprised by the exotic pool and private chef, we were a little taken aback when Nadia announced that the couple had a horse in their hallway. Yes, a horse.
“They’ve got a horse in their hallway, with a lamp on its head. It’s called Stevie Gigi,” she told her bemused co-hosts, as a photo popped up of the black horse – a mannequin, yes, but the size of an actual horse!

Nadia also admitted how she had tried to play it cool when they were invited to the Take That star’s house, but her facade had slipped quickly as she was desperate to have a peek in the family larder. As you do.
“The first thing I did was go into their larder, which I think Ayda found a little bit weird,” Nadia admitted.
But Ruth Langsford agreed, “You can tell a lot about somebody by their larder,” adding, “What was in there?”
“Oh there were so many fabulous things!” replied Nadia. “We relaxed by their pool. They have these wonderful staff, who basically just look like their mates. There was a chef cooking some delicious vegan food, and their children [daughter Teddy, five, and son Charlton, three] are just wonderful.”
Sounds like everything was just… wonderful then, Nadia?
Nadia was accompanied on her LA adventure by Loose Women co-star Stacey Solomon, who was also invited by Paramount Pictures to interview the stars of upcoming film Book Club, starring Jane Fonda and Diane Keaton.
Nadia said: “Stacey and I were very lucky to go to LA for 24 hours. There’s a new film out with Jane Fonda and a lot of other movie stars, so we went to interview them. We only had ten minute slots but we managed to fill the rest of the time!
“Stacey and I said yes to everything. We had first class flights, a first class hotel, it was all just bonkers! For a moment, we lived like Pretty Women.”

Ruth then asked if Nadia was suffering from jet lag.

“I’m ignoring the pain, I feel blessed to have gone,” replied Nadia, while a less-than-impressed Janet Street-Porter quipped, “You’ve got a lot of make-up on Nadia?”
“Yes, I’ve put my makeup on with a trowel!” she finally relented.
