Now Joseph Tate’s real identity has been revealed to all of Emmerdale and everyone knows what he’s up to, we’ve been a bit worried that he’ll be leaving soon.
After all, he’s broken Debbie and annoyed Charity, and will soon be taking a bulldozer to the Dingles’ home, so he’s pretty much done everything he set out to do, right?
Well, apparently not!
Actor Ned Porteous was on Good Morning Britain earlier today where he told hosts Susannah Reid and Piers Morgan that he had no plans to leave the ITV soap.

“Does it feel like Hollywood is just a stone’s throw away?” Susannah asked.
But luckily (for us, not for Hollywood) Ned said he’s sticking with the Yorkshire Dales for now.
“I have no intentions of leaving for Hollywood anytime soon,” he said. And he added that he loves working on Emmerdale.
Joseph’s plan to destroy the Dingles really steps up a gear this week when the builders start knocking down their farm.
But as the bulldozer begins to demolish the house, the builders are unaware that young Noah and Samson are inside!

Then in next week’s episodes – with the Dingles all out for desperate revenge – Debbie confronts Joe herself.
And later he’s tracked down in the woods and comes face to face with a masked gunman.
As the man approaches Joe with the gun brandished, Mr Tate scrambles away in terror and falls into a pit. He’s petrified as the gunman leaves him to die.
With Ned saying he’s sticking around for a while longer, it looks like Joe will make it out alive – but what will he do next?
