Neighbours actress reveals she’s pregnant live on The Wright Stuff

And she's confirmed the gender too

Neighbours star Eve Morey, who plays Sonya Rebecchi on the hit Aussie soap has revealed she is pregnant with her second child.

She announced the news live on morning show The Wright Stuff on Tuesday.

Eve’s currently in the UK for a promo trip and was taking part in the panel show, hosted by Matthew Wright.

As they came back from a break, fellow panellist Suzy Perry said: “On behalf of us all I believe congratulations are in order.”

Eve then clutched her stomach and replied that she was indeed expecting again.

The actress revealed she is just over 22 weeks and added: “Everyone at work knows but we realised yesterday that nobody really outside of work knows.”

Matthew then said: “Sonya’s lost a baby and you’ve got one.”

On screen, Sonya has recently suffered the devastating loss of the child she was carrying as a surrogate for Mark Brennan and Steph Scully.

The local mayor’s difficult time was made even worse by the fact husband Toadie cheated on her with his supposedly dead wife Dee Bliss and Sonya watched the whole hook up over Skype. It then turned out it wasn’t even Dee, but a con woman called Andrea.

The stress of everything took it’s toll on Son and she has turned to drink to cope. The previously reformed alcoholic even drunk drove into the Backpackers and caused injuries to many.

In real life things are far less dramatic. Eve already has a three-year old daughter, Ivy Rae, with her husband Jonathan Dutton, who played Tad Reeves in Neighbours.

The couple got married a year after welcoming Ivy into the world in a Halloween-themed ceremony.

And now Ivy’s set to have a little sister after Eve revealed to OK! Online that the pair are expecting another girl.

It isn’t yet known how the character will be written out of the soap, but it leaves us fearful for her relationship with husband Toadie, which is still not back on track since his fling and her problems.

Can the pair ever work this out?
