Every single person on the planet was in bits last year when it was announced that Great British Bake Off would no longer be shown on BBC and would move to Channel 4.
THEN, to rub salt in the wound, Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins quit the show.
This was all out of loyalty to the BBC of course, but it still broke us a little bit.

Now, it looks like there could still be a new Bake Off-style show which would compete with the original.
A source told The Sun: “Launching their own version of the show has long been rumoured since Channel 4 swooped in on Bake Off.
“But things have picked up pace in the last few weeks and very high-level discussions have happened where a BBC version of a cookery or baking show that would directly compete with Paul and Channel 4 has been seriously talked about”.
The Great British Bake Off has left a huge gap on BBC, as it was a massive hit for viewers, when it was bought by Channel 4 for the whopping sum of £75 million.
*gulp*
However, it is suggested that the new potential show will fill that spot!
Please say it’s every bit as funny and entertaining as the original…
Speaking exclusively to OK! Online after Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4, Mary said: “I have loved every single [series of the Great British Bake Off]. It’s moving on, it will be different, let’s wait and see.
“Of course I’ll be seeing what they’re up to.
“I want to see Paul Hollywood because we’re still great friends”.
