Prince Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle have announced a further detail about their royal wedding ceremony next weekend.
The couple have invited a senior bishop from the United States to give an address at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
According to Kensington Palace, the duo have asked The Most Reverend Michael Bruce Curry, the 27th Presiding Bishop and Primate of The Episcopal Church, to attend their wedding and give an address.

He said in a statement: “The love that has brought and will bind Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle together has its source and origin in God, and is the key to life and happiness. And so we celebrate and pray for them today.”

The Most Reverend Michael Bruce Curry will travel from his home in Chicago, Illinois to attend the service next Saturday.
Harry and Meghan’s wedding service will be conducted by The Dean of Windsor, The Rt. Revd. David Conner, while The Most Revd. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will officiate as they make their marriage vows.
According to The Telegraph, Harry and Meghan have yet to meet Bishop Curry, but chose him to give the address after discussions with Archbishop Welby.
Bishop Curry’s presence at the wedding will bring a touch of home to proceedings for Meghan, who is, of course, American herself.
One royal fan tweeted: “Having an American clergyman participate is great news. This adds yet another wonderful personal touch to the ceremony.”
Another person wrote: “Bp. Curry is dynamic and engaging, and carries the message of love. I had the privilege of hearing him preach in my hometown a few years ago. I’m delighted to hear he’s crossing the pond to be part of the #RoyalWedding.”
Former actress Meghan, 36, will marry into the royal family on Saturday, May 19, when she says “I do” with Harry, 33, at midday.
They will follow their ceremony at St. George’s Chapel with a carriage procession through the streets of Windsor before returning to Windsor Castle for a lunch reception.
A further evening reception will be hosted by Prince Charles for a select number of guests.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, will accompany the bride in the car to Windsor Castle on the morning of the wedding, while her father, Thomas Markle, will walk her down the aisle.

Harry’s brother, Prince William, will serve as best man.
Details of Meghan’s dress won’t be revealed until she steps out of her car on the wedding day, although it’s believed The Queen has already been given a sneak peek.
