A news reporter this week revealed just how unglamorous it can be delivering updates from the field as he was caught out using spit to style his locks.
The journalist for U.S channel NBC News inadvertently revealed his hair hack as the camera cut to him live from the studio earlier than he expected, as he was seen spitting into his hand before wiping his head.

Anchor Ali Velshi introduced Matt Bradley for his report from war torn Syria while he was unaware he was being broadcast.
“Good? Fine? Better?” Matt could be heard saying, presumably about his saliva-styled hair after he was seen spitting, when Ali asked him about the current situation with ISIS in Eastern Syria.
“We do not have Matt, we’ll come back to him,” Ali then said to slickly move on from the blunder.

The moment then received global attention after it was shared on Twitter, gaining more than 41,000 retweets.
“THIS JUST HAPPENED LIVE!” cried the original poster sharing the clip. She later tweeted: “I think NBC reporter Matt Bradley is badass!!! He also has great hair.”
Others agreed, seeing the humour in the situation.

“Imagine keeping your mutant super-power (expectorating hair gel) secret for your whole life and then you accidentally broadcast if on TV,” wrote one.
“He’ll have his own hair product line, before you know it,” said another.
Others used gifs to express their disgust, saying the moment was “yuck” and “nasty”.

But another NBC anchor, Carl Quintanilla, hit the nail on the head when he tweeted: “Folks reporting live from Syria can get ready for air any. Way. They. Want.”
Too right!
