DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles has said he “doesn’t care” if people think he’s a love rat.
The TV star split from his wife Jessica last year, shortly before having a brief fling with former Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten.
“I let people say whatever they want,” he told the Daily Star Sunday. “I very rarely comment on it at all.
“People who know me know who I am and know what I’m about… And outside of that it doesn’t really matter to me.”
Nick left Jessica “blindsided” when he ended their relationship last year, and there were allegations that “other women were involved” in their split.
The couple married in 2012 and have a two-year-old son, Eddie.
Jessica was diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer. “Following on from a difficult year it has forced me to put a lot of things into perspective and really brought to light what matters; my health and Eddie,” she said.
Gemma and Nick became close after meeting at a TV awards party.
The actress claimed that Nick dropped her “like a ton of bricks” after realising that paparazzi had taken photos of them together.

“I’ve been a little bit burned,” said Gemma. “It did put me off dating.”

Nick and Jessica have made an effort to remain on good terms.
“Nick is the most wonderful father to Eddie and they adore one another,” Jessica has said. “His face completely lights up whenever he sees Nick.”
