It’s a good thing the rumours that Cheryl Tweedy was returning to The X Factor weren’t true as coming to face to face with her rumoured rival Nicole Scherzinger would have suddenly got more ferocious.
Why? Because the former Pussycat Doll has broken the girl code and been seen hanging out with Cheryl’s ex, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
The shock friendship emerged over the weekend when JB posted pictures of his night out on Instagram, along with the caption: ”@superheromovement making move on #venicefilmfestival … a month to go.”
Even though Cheryl was married to the French restaurateur for just over a year, the final few months were reportedly not great so she’s not the best of pals with him and is certainly not bezzas with Nicole either.

But it’s been reported that Cheryl will not be happy with this friendship that’s just emerged.
The reported feud between Cheryl and Nicole goes way back to 2011 when the huge haired Girls Aloud star was booted off American X Factor and replaced by the Pussycat Doll, who had then been co-hosting with our very own Steve Jones.
In Simon Cowell’s “unofficial” book Sweet Revenge, the author Tom Bower details that Cheryl was suspicious of Nicole when she was replaced by her.
She believed Nicole had made a play for the job!
But even before that time, Chez revealed in her own book that their first meeting had been “embarrassing” and “awkward”.
“The first time I met Nicole was when she was performing on The X Factor in London. ‘Oh my God, Cheryl! You’re just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!’ she had gushed. It was really embarrassing,” she wrote.
“Then she started singing Promise This to me, and I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face. It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again.
“I thought how that would be like me going up to Britney and singing the whole of Baby, One More Time… in her face. Can you imagine how weird that would be?”

However, Nicole tried to play down the feud and said she hoped Cheryl hadn’t said anything negative about her.
“I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope that she would only have spoken highly of me because I’ve not spoken poorly of her,” she told Fabulous magazine.
“The story is I met her once at The X Factor and I wanted to make her feel good. I said I’d heard her song on the radio and I think I sang the words ‘promise this’. But I really don’t know any lyrics after that.
“And then that is made out to be something else and I don’t understand why. I don’t understand why anybody would do that. It’s been blown out of proportion and it’s silly.”
However, last year Nicole refused to acknowledge Cheryl when she was asked a question about her at The X Factor launch.
Awks.
