Actress Nikki Sanderson has recalled the shocking time jealous bullies set her hair on fire after she joined Coronation Street.
Nikki, who now stars in Hollyoaks, revealed she was picked on when she first starred on the cobbles.
She was only 15 when she took the role of Candice Stowe and then began to suffer horrible treatment from bullies.
The 34-year-old told The Mirror: “It was all different types of things.

Nikki explained that the abuse reached its peak when she was out at a nightclub with friends.
She continued: “I was stood at the mirror and could smell something burning.
“I turned around and this girl was there with a lighter, setting fire to the bottom of my hair.”
