Noel Edmonds quit The Late, Late Breakfast Show during the 1980s after a man tragically died on set.
The Deal Or No Deal presenter, 69, walked away from the BBC for two years following the horrific ordeal, in which Michael Lush plunged to his death when a bungee jump went horribly wrong back in 1986.
The accident was caused when a malfunctioning clip came loose and it was later revealed the clip wasn’t strong enough to hold the weight of a bag of sugar.

Self-employed hod carrier Michael, who was 24 when he died, was killed during his first rehearsal for another live stunt, Hang em’ High.
The stunt involved bungee jumping from an exploding box raised 120 feet in the air by a crane.
However, the clip attaching his bungee rope to the crane sprang loose during the jump and Michael died instantly of multiple injuries.
It was later revealed the malfunctioning clip wasn’t strong enough to hold the weight of a bag of sugar.
As well as the faulty equipment, an investigation found the production team in charge of the stunt failed to hire a stuntman to oversea the jump.
Also, once Michael was inside the box, there was no way for him to contact anyone on the ground and if he had been able to communicate the ground staff, the rehearsal may have been much different.
Following the awful ordeal, Noel resigned from the show saying at the time he did not “have the heart to carry on”. Three days after Michael’s death, the show was cancelled.
Noel returned to the BBC two years later to host his show, Saturday’s Roadshow.
Noel is set to enter the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle on Thursday night.
And it’s set to be one hell of an entrance, as the TV star turned up dressed as a Roman Emperor.
The ITV reality show revealed a hilarious glimpse of the TV star at the end of Wednesday night’s episode.

As the camera panned around a regal-looking Noel in toga and sash, he asked: “Are you not entertained?”
Producers also shared a video on Instagram, captioning it: “Tomorrow night, you SHALL be entertained! All hail Emperor Edmonds. #ImACeleb.”
