Earlier today news broke of Chris Hughes’ bold move in trying to prove that Katie Price had been sending him “flirty” messages.
He posted screenshots of the messages on Twitter for the whole world to see.
Katie’s fans slammed him for the move calling him “harsh”, and Olivia came to his defence.
One person tweeted: “That’s a bit harsh Chris I’d hardly say they were flirty text messages but to bang them on Twitter is wrong.”

Another said: “@chrishughes_22 this loser is only exposing Katie coz his gf found out. As if he wasn’t replying.”
A third commented: “Lovely guy but staying silent would’ve been more mannerly.”
“Need to give your head a wobble pal, nothing flirty about them messages.. you are good looking.. but you really ain’t ‘all that’,” said a fourth.
“Nothing flirty in those messages though, just being friendly. Think this is childlike, thought better of you!” said a fifth.
Olivia has since waded into the row, publicly defending her boyfriend Chris against the backlash.
She tweeted to her 283,000 followers: “Ohhh look at all you lot turning on chris for backing himself. Smh.”
It all started when Chris revealed a few days ago that Katie had been sending him messages behind his girlfriend’s back.
He told OK magazine: “[Katie] has been sending me messages, but I’ve not been replying. I’ve shown them all to Olivia, so she’s cool with it.”
But Katie denied these allegations on Twitter, saying: “Met @chrishughes_22 once on Loose Women and with @oliviajade_att at the football. Sorry to disappoint you all no flirty texts got sent!”
Chris snapped back with his tweet: “A message from another female who went out her way to get my number from someone, then messaging me, is flirty. My girls @oliviajade_att.”
He then replied directly to her tweet with screenshots of her messages to him to prove he wasn’t lying.
He said: “Okay sweetheart. Being pied shouldn’t make you bitter,” followed by the screenshots.
The first one showed a message Katie had sent him on Instagram after they met on Loose Women last month.
She said: “Hey, so good to meet you yesterday.
“Anyway [here is] my number and would love to go shooting. Obviously this stays private [phone number].”
Although it looks like Chris ignored her, Katie then got hold of his number and messaged him.
She said: “I don’t think your getting my messages are you?
“I think they are getting deleted. I’m not here to cause trouble at all. Yes you know I like you! And here for advice too.
“You will just get people wanting money out of you so just try be careful.”
She added: “If you don’t want me to tex or be in touch I’d rather you tell me.”
It looks like Chris still didn’t reply, but another screenshot showed her next message to him which came after news of his alleged break up from Olivia.
Katie said: “If news is true, hope your OK. Between us I’m in the same boat after the weekend.
“Knew it was coming, let’s say his been busted. [sic]
“Please, please don’t say anything.”
She then sent him a message asking where he was, at 3.49am the next day.
“Hey don’t worry I’m not after you it was a faze. But you on a club PA? I am too and it’s sooo late where you? I’m in Darlington,” she said.
Katie has since hit back at him as she tweeted a cryptic message which seems to hint that Chris deleted his replies to her.
She said: “Can’t wait to watch doctor foster woo! Just like in life I have a lot on people like people hiding replys to texts! pics, vids! I’m loyal.” [sic]
