The latest series of The Voice has been one of the best ever, so you can’t blame ITV bosses for wanting to stick to the same formula going forward.
And by the sound of it, they’re already putting plans in place for next year’s edition of the popular singing show.
In the build-up to tonight’s live final, Olly Murs – who made his debut as a coach during this series – has revealed that he’s been asked to return in 2019.
The 33-year-old, who replaced Gavin Rossdale on the show, told the Radio Times: “We’ve had initial talks with ITV.
“They’ve said they’d love me to come back – I’d love to come back. So until it’s all signed, sealed, delivered – we’ll see. But without a doubt, I’d love to stay and come back.”
And the Essex-born pop star admitted that he’d be happy to remain on The Voice for as long as ITV want him.
He explained: “I can’t wait to do it again. I hope I come back for many years.”

After three months of drama and difficult decisions, the four coaches have finally whittled their hopefuls down to one finalist each.
And tonight, each coach will perform a duet with their protegé. Olly will sing Ain’t No Mountain High Enough with Lauren Bannon.
will.i.am will sing Usher’s OMG with his hopeful, Donel Mangena, while Tom Jones and Ruti Olajugbagbe will cover It’s A Wonderful World.
Finally, Jennifer Hudson and her finalist, Belle Voci, will give their take on the Celine Dion classic My Heart Will Go On.

Last week, Olly commented on reports that he’d fallen out with Simon Cowell over his decision to appear on The X Factor’s rival show, which moved from the BBC to ITV last year.
The singer told Now magazine: “When I first started on The X Factor, Simon was my mentor and he gave me this amazing career, but he’s never told me what to do on a day-to-day basis.
“I don’t ring Simon and say: ‘Is it OK if I go into work today?’ He’s not my boss. I haven’t got any ties to The X Factor.”
