Hold onto your ice creams, folks, London’s prestigious West End is about to be hijacked a by a noisy, angry reality star!
As we all know, professional reality stars have already ruined some of our favourite TV shows with their desperate ‘Look at me’ TV appearances, but now it looks like London’s celebrated West End is next on their list of domination!
Hell no!
Professionally angry reality so-and-so, Megan McKenna, has just signed up to star in Kristina Rihanoff and Gleb Savchenko’s dance spectacular, One More Dance.
The TOWIE sex siren and singer is set to star alongside the Strictly Come Dancing pair at the Adelphi Theatre on Sunday December 11.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, must be spinning his grave (except he’s not dead, but, if he were, he probably would be!)
Even West End lovelies are shocked by the decision, with one sniping: “The West End has always prided itself on showcasing the most talented of performers for decades. But now to have a reality star treading the boards is a worrying sign.”
Squawking about treading her latest Blahniks on the boards, Megan no doubt screeched: “I was absolutely thrilled to be asked by Gleb Savchenko and Kristina Rihanoff to sing in their West End stage show and I didn’t have to think twice.
“They are absolutely world class dancers and it was special to hear them tell me how much they love my voice.”
We assume they meant her singing voice, not that angry screech she displays every so on often on TOWIE and wonderfully showcased in the diary room of Celebrity Big Brother in January of this year.
It was actually there that Megan first impressed the ex Strictly star with her impressive singing pipes: “Kristina first heard me sing when we were both housemates in the house earlier this year and we said then that we hoped to work together someday.
“I’ve known Gleb for quite a while too and we have talked about him appearing in a music video with me which I would love to see happen!”
The stage spectacular was dreamed up by Gleb’s wife Elena Samodanova. She even choreographed Megan…without any of the Big Brother amateur dramatics we assume.
Either way, Megs says this opportunity is a“dream come true.”
This isn’t her first attempt at singing stardom. Oh no. She;s been trying her luck for years! Not only has she attempted to launch a singing career on The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, she also made like Ed Sheeran by busking in Covent Garden.
Meanwhile, the proper star of the show, Kristina Rihanoff, recently confided in Entertainment Daily’s Andy West about how she is hurriedly trying to shed her post-pregnancy weight before the show.
‘I am worried about getting into the costumes,’ she explained on his YouTube channel AndyVision . ‘I have just a month to get into them, thankfully they are Lycra, but I could look like a stuffed sausage.’
