Ovie Soko was shocked to discover he had been snubbed from the Love Island group chat.
The basketball player, 28, admitted he was baffled when Maura Higgins recently said the Love IslandWhatsApp chat had gone quiet.

“This seems to be the thing. I mean, I’ve got everyone’s numbers from Love Island, but I’m not part of any group… So maybe there’s a group out there that I’m not part of… Are you telling me I should be part of the group?”
He added to Metro.co.uk: “You’ve just let me know I’m not part of the group, oh wow. Wow.”

Since appearing on the dating show, Ovie has landed a guest slot on This Morning and a collaboration with ASOS.

He said: “It’s wild, the whole journey thus far has been dope. Something I couldn’t really put entirely into words, but it’s just been amazing.
“I think what it represents, it’s a lot bigger than a TV show could ever be. ‘It’s given hope to everyone, in my opinion, and let them know that being yourself can get you good things in life. Having good, positive energy does go a long way.”

Earlier this week Ovie celebrated his ASOS launch with a party in London, which was attended by his Love Island co-stars.
However, it was reported Ovie’s girlfriend India couldn’t be there due to her collaboration with rival fashion brand Boohoo.
