Paddy McGuinness shows off results from incredible weight loss

He has completely overhauled his diet

Paddy McGuinness has showed off his dramatic body transformation after following a “strict” diet and fitness regime.

The Take Me Out host, 45, took to Instagram to share before and after photos to show his progress after completely overhauling his diet and working out.

Paddy revealed he started at 14 stone but dropped to 12 stone 4lb after “three hours a week weight training” and “seven days a week of strict dieting”.

However, Paddy admitted he felt he looked “too small and light for my size,” so went back to eating a “decent enough diet” and is now 13 stone 9lb.

Paddy shared three photos – the first showing him before overhauling his diet, the second showing his bod more toned and the third showing his body now.

He captioned the post: “There’s five weeks and a tan between both these pics. I started at 14 stone and finished at 12 stone 4lb.

“This was down to just three hours a week weight training but 7 days a week of strict dieting. I was on 4 meals a day all clean eating.”

The dad-of-three continued: “I felt great and was getting shredded but personally I thought I looked to small and light for my size, 6ft 1”.

“I’m back to eating a decent enough diet, for me, now but I’m also enjoying plenty of treats (in moderation). I’m now 13stn 9lb (2nd pic) and happy with my size.”

Paddy admitted he’s not “shredded to death” but he feels “comfortable” in his clothes and he doesn’t get out of breath climbing the stairs.

Fans were in awe of Paddy and praised him for getting his body in shape.

One person said: “Well done you look fab,” while another wrote: “Great work! Looking awesome!”

A third commented: “Good for you. This is such a positive post and [you’re] being so honest with what you have done – no fad diets just changing the way you eat and working out.”

Earlier this month, Paddy vowed to give up eating meat on Mondays in a bid to help the environment.

He tweeted: “Morning! I know it’s not much towards staving off global warming but I’m going to give meat free Mondays a whirl.

“I figure I can go one day without meat and I might just enjoy it. Every mickle makes a muckle!”

It comes after Paddy – who is dad to twins Penelope and Leo, five, and two-year-old daughter Felicity with wife Christine – landed himself a brand new job hosting Top Gear alongside Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff.

The BBC confirmed earlier this month that the presenter and the former cricket star are set to replace Matt LeBlanc after the next series of the iconic car show.

Paddy said in a statement: “Getting the Top Gear gig is a real honour and I’m thrilled the BBC have given me this opportunity.

“To be hosting a show I’ve watched and loved from being a small boy is beyond exciting.”
