Singer and former The Voice mentor Paloma Faith has shared her joy at becoming a mother for the first time with her social media fans.
The 35-year-old posted a note, explaining that she had undergone an emergency Caesarean after a difficult labour.
She expressed her thanks to the NHS staff who helped bring her baby into the world, praising the organisation as one of this country’s greatest achievements.
“After a difficult labour resulting in an emergency C-section, I gave birth to my first child, with whom I am over the moon, in love and delighted.
“What a trip!
“It was all with the help with some incredibly doctors, midwives and nurses at UCH NHS Hospital.
“The devotion, kindness and commitment shown by all of them was second to none and I am humbled by the experience.
“I really believe the NHS to be one of the great achievements of this country and it should be respected and protected by all.
“I am humbled by the unfaltering dedication I witnessed and received there.
“So thank you to the NHS…”
The Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer then proceeded to express her gratitude to individuals, before concluding: “And God bless the NHS.”
