People divided as husband jokes he only helps wife with housework to ‘get lucky’

Some people found it funny

A man has been criticised for saying he only helps his wife with the housework to “get lucky”.

A social media Influencer, from San Diego, shared a photo of her husband on Instagram as he held a sign revealing what they describe as “choreplay”.

The sign reads: “Helping out with housework so you can get lucky is called choreplay.”

The social media star kissed her hubby on the cheek as he grinned alongside the sign.

She captioned the post: “Nothing hotter.”

Her 74.5K followers were quick to respond, with many slamming the sign.

One person commented: “Stop teaching women that if men do housework it’s HELPING and they should get rewarded.

“They aren’t children. It’s 50% their responsibility. Is this from the 50s?”

Another wrote: “Helping with housework’ infantilizes men and implies that the home is the woman’s job. Nothing sexy about that.”

A third added: “Helping with the housework?’ It’s his house too. It’s his responsibility too.

“It shouldn’t be so rare he’s ‘helping’ that when he does it’s a turn on.

“And implying he’s just helping to ‘get lucky’ is cringe as hell.”

Others, meanwhile, found the post hilarious.

One person said: “This is hilarious!!” while another wrote: “Yes! It’s such a turn on for me and also a win / win because it means I’ve got more time to spend on my man instead of doing cleaning and laundry.”

A third added: “Hahahahaha OMG YES. My husband said to me yesterday, ‘is there anything else I can do?’ after checking a bunch of things off of my list. Totally choreplay.”

Another commented: “Omg this is my favorite thing ever!!!”
