Peter Andre sends his love to Pauline Quirke and her family

For Peter, the news resonates deeply, as his own mother has been living with dementia for several years.

Reflecting on Pauline’s retirement, Pete wrote in his OK! column: “When you have someone like Pauline, who has given so much in her field, and she is forced to step away from it not out of choice, it’s a double blow of being diagnosed and also having to give up something you love and are passionate about.”

He added: “My thoughts are with her and her family.”

It’s a double blow of being diagnosed and also having to give up something you love and are passionate about.

The Birds of a Feather actress is beloved for her decades-long career and contributions to British entertainment.

She has inspired generations through her on-screen performances and the creation of her drama academies. Her diagnosis serves as a stark reminder of how life can unexpectedly change course.

‘Unfortunately life isn’t like that’

Peter also reflected on how mental health plays an essential role during challenging times, especially after the recent Blue Monday, often cited as the most depressing day of the year.

He noted how his wife Emily, a doctor, has been using her social media platform to promote mental health awareness.

“I saw that Emily spoke about this on her social media, and I think it’s good she is using her voice so powerfully to talk about mental health, and it’s something she’s really passionate about in her work.” Peter wrote.

He drew from his own experiences of grief, particularly following the loss of his brother. Peter highlighted how something as simple as going for a walk everyday can help.

With his birthday around the corner, Peter has also been thinking about what matters most in life. Grateful for his health, family and friends, the singer couldn’t help but express his wish for his parents to regain their youth and health.

“I would give everything else up 100-fold just to have them in full health. But, unfortunately, life isn’t like that,” he said.
