Remember back in early August, when Peter admitted he had a “beautiful present” for his wife Emily MacDonagh, but kept forgetting to give it to her?
To jog your memory, the singer and reality star admitted in his New! column: “I actually have a beautiful present that I haven’t given [Emily] yet.
“It was initially for Valentine’s Day, then I thought I’d give it to her for our wedding anniversary. But then I forgot!”

Doh! However, it seems that he might finally have remembered and the gift was worth the wait, as Peter has revealed he presented Emily, who gave birth to the couple’s second child, Theo, in November last year, with a huge diamond ring on her birthday on August 16.
Speaking to OK! Magazine about her special day, during which Peter took her onto a yacht in Marbella, Emily said: “It felt like he was proposing all over again – it was so romantic.”
The ring was not only a birthday present, but also a ‘push’ present for Emily: “I wanted to treat her for her birthday. It was really a thank you for Theo,” he explained.
“I praise her every day for how good a mother she is.”
Aw! And it sounds like Peter planned the perfect day, too…
“We went on a yacht and the kids came out with us. They were jumping in the sea and going on the jet-ski and paddle board,” she continued.
“We had the best day ever and then we came back to the port and the kids went off for dinner with Pete’s brother and a few friends. Me and Pete got back on the boat and we went out to sea.”
“There were beautiful lights everywhere and we had an amazing dinner on deck. Then Pete gave me my present.”

Just last month, Emily spoke in her OK! Magazine column about Peter’s battle with anxiety, which left him so vulnerable he told her to “walk away from him”.
Thankfully, this smitten couple are clearly too strong to let life come between them.
