Peter Andre has opened up about his wife’s panicked trip to the hospital a few weeks ago.
Emily MacDonagh, who is pregnant with their second child, had the surprise of her life after she started having contractions when they were out for dinner a few weeks ago.
There were thoughts that she was having Braxton Hicks, which is the tightening of the muscles in the womb – which can cause huge discomfort during pregnancy. Ouch!

The 43-year-old said: “Obviously, women get Braxton Hicks, and Emily is medically trained and knows what Braxton Hicks are.
“But because they were happening so often, it got to the point where it was proper contractions – it was the recommendation that if they happened over a certain amount of times a minute, or every half an hour, then you need to call in.
“They were happening almost every two minutes, and it was getting to a worrying stage.”
The Mysterious Girl singer explained that the pain was getting pretty unbearable for his 27-year-old wife.
“Braxton Hicks are one thing, but these not only felt like proper contractions, but they were so painful and they were happening so regularly.

“The reason I want to talk about it is because a lot of people were like: ‘Doesn’t she know what Braxton Hicks are?’, but this went to the next level.
“We were almost thinking that she was going into labour, that the baby was coming, so we rushed her into the hospital. She was fine, but they still don’t understand why it’s happening to her.”
Peter also went on to discuss how he definitely believes Emily will give birth early.
He confessed: “I do think the baby is going to come early. After the 13th or 14th of next month, I really need to be within an hour of her.”
Too right Pete, sounds like she could pop any second…
