Peter Andre’s wife Emily reveals recent hysterectomy shock

Couple faced worrying time with traumatic birth of son Theo late last year

Emily MacDonagh has opened up about the moment doctors told her she might need a hysterectomy.

The 27-year-old wife of Peter Andre had to have an emergency Caesarean during labour with their son Theo.

After the birth of their adorable son in November, doctors sat the couple down.

Emily told The Sun: “There was a moment when the obstetrician said to me that one of the risks was there are times they have to perform a hysterectomy after the Caesarean if there is loads of bleeding.

“And I thought, ‘Oh my God I didn’t even think about that’. You have to process the information and you have to go and have the C-section.

“Obviously it’s very rare but you suddenly think, ‘Wow they might have to do that’.

“There was a point I remember thinking, ‘Wow this is a huge deal’. I just remember looking at Pete across the room and we were like, ‘Oh my God’.”

Proud hubby Pete praised his other half for staying “calm” during what was “the scariest thing in your life”.

“I was worried seeing her go through something so traumatic and you’re not taking care, the doctor is,” he said.

Emily, who is a junior doctor, added that although her experience was really traumatic, it hasn’t put her off growing her family.

She added: “When you see your baby and smell them it’s all worth it and you think, ‘I wanna do this again!'”

Although there have been many stories floating around that Pete wants to expand his brood ASAP, actually he’s in no rush at all.

He said: “I’m kinda cool just as I am at the moment. Amelia was so quiet, but Theo has a set of lungs and he’s not so chilled out!”

Peter and Emily are already parents to daughter Amelia, two, while Peter has son Junior, 11, and daughter Princess, nine, from his marriage to Katie Price.
