Speaking to Phil and Holly Louise revealed: “I had been trying to lose weight for many many years.

“I went to a run clinic one night, and the woman who was going to coach us was a plus-sized woman.”

Talking about her weight she added: “I’m healthy, but I can only speak for myself.”

But Phil, 55, didn’t seem convinced as he asked her: “Do you still eat doughnuts though?”

Slightly shocked at his remarks the personal trainer replied: “Once in a while.”

Viewers were stunned by the presenter’s question and shared their thoughts on Twitter.

One said: “‘Do you still eat doughnuts?’ Dead pan @Schofe at his best. #thismorning.”

“Do you still eat doughnuts #thismorning,” said another alongside an embarrassed face emoji.

A third tweeted: “Slightly rude “do you still eat doughnuts” #thismorning.”

Meanwhile others were more focused on Louise with some questioning how she could be healthy and overweight.

Louise said: “We need to take the focus off weight and try to be the healthiest version of yourself.”

But fans of the show weren’t happy with her comments.

One wrote: “#thismorning Don’t agree with this woman. Visceral fat is dangerous even if you do exercise. Need to eat right also to be healthy. Face fact.”

“#thismorning maybe you can be a bit overweight and fit and healthy. But she was obese. No way she’s healthy,” said another.

A third added: “She is essentially saying if you’re fat it’s fine so long as you’re healthy… that literally makes no sense!!!! #ThisMorning.”
