This Morning host Phillip Schofield struggled to hide his shock today, when a woman appeared on the show claiming to have ‘Brexit-proofed’ her life.
Alongside co-host Holly Willoughby, Phillip listened as the Cornish lady detailed how she had been stockpiling food and other ‘essential’ items ahead of the proposed date to leave the EU on Friday 29 March.

Speaking from her home in Cornwall, Nevine Mann revealed she has hoarded months worth of food in case the UK leaves the European Union with no deal.
This comes after Prime Minister Theresa May’s deal was rejected by parliament yesterday (Tuesday 15 January).
She told Holly and Phil: “We’ve basically been buying extra bits of things we’d normally be buying predominantly, just to make sure that if there are any problems with supplies in the event of a no deal, we have food for ourselves and our family.”

Nevine described how she and her family had been stockpiling food, including canned tomatoes and rice in bulk, that could last up to six months and more.
Phil could barely stop his mouth gaping open as Nevine went on to say they were growing vegetables, sorting out a water filtering system and having solar panels put on their roof.
Fearing that Brexit could lead to the end of supplies, she also revealed that it was impossible to stockpile medicines which would mean her allergy-prone son would not be able to leave the house for the summer months.
Trying unsuccessfully not to look amused, Phil asked Nevine what she would do in the event that there was no major supply problems after all, and she was left with so much food.
She replied: “Maybe so, but I have a family and children and it concerns me, the real implication of a no deal Brexit that will result in food being held up at the border.
“I just want to make sure we’ve got what we need.”
Those watching from home were equally shocked by Nevine’s hoarding, with one saying: “I cannot believe this woman stock piling for #brexit what the hell is the matter with people, unfortunately now #ThisMorning have highlighted this I’m expecting to see empty shelves as other sheep will follow.”

Another said: “Is this some sort of sick joke? People are so dramatic. Completely irrational. #ThisMorning.”
A third said: “The lady on #ThisMorning Brexit proofing her life is actally crazy! Stockpiling food and medication?? Installing water tanks and solar panels! I don’t think Britain will become a third world country if we leave Europe #BrexitChaos.”
“Can someone over there tell the stockpiling woman that Brexit is not the end of the world, and she should give herself a damned good shake,” said another.
Others defended her.
Looking forward to seeing the piece @thismorning did on prepping- they asked me on but I couldn’t do it ☹️ Hoping it builds awareness of prepping and why people feel it is sensible for Brexit#thismorning #brexitprep #whatsonyourstockpile #brexitchaos
