They’re the on-screen couple we can’t get enough of – and soon we’ll be seeing even more of them.
As well as presenting This Morning from Monday to Thursday, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will resume weekend hosting duties of Dancing on Ice, which kicks off on January 7th.
The show’s reboot has been in the works at ITV for years, and Phillip has discussed some of the finer points behind it – as well as why he’s happy to be earning the same wage as his This Morning co-star.
Holly, 36, was an original host of Dancing on Ice, but passed the baton to Christine Bleakley in the last series.
However, in the four years since the show last aired, Holly’s career has gone from strength to strength with her ITV salary rising to match Phillip’s.
At the launch of the new series, Philip said he was “absolutely” happy with the decision.

He said: “You have to remember, when Holly started on This Morning I’d been doing it for years and was the one who had to pull it all through.
“Once Holly was an equal presenter, then of course. And across the board, that’s the way it should be.”
Phil also heaped praise on his “work-wife”, who wasn’t able to attend the launch event as she was spending time with her family.
Phillip said: “Holly is an absolute dream. It’s like presenting with my best friend or sister.
“We have never even had a row in all of the years we’ve been working together on anything we’ve done.
“We’ve never even had a tiff, it just doesn’t happen, and that’s a lovely relationship to have, and quite rare.”
The reboot of the series also gives ITV a chance to perfect the formula for the show, which Phil says is now in a neat two-hour package on Sunday nights that will allow families to watch together.

Pantomime baddie Jason Gardiner returns as show judge, alongside newcomer Ashley Banjo.
And Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean also move to the judging panel from their previous mentoring role, making it, according to Phillip, “complete.”
