It isn’t all that often that Piers Morgan is likened to a “pussycat” by those who work with him or follow his TV career.
But that’s exactly how one Good Morning Britain colleague has described how the former newspaper editor conducts himself on the set of the ITV daytime programme.
However, 54-year-old Piers has apparently bristled at the claim he is easy to work with, harrumphing that the senior co-worker lavishing him with such praise may come to reconsider his kind words.
Responding to the social media tribute with a quote tweet, Piers replied: “This tweet won’t age well.”

Earlier today, TV director Stuart Earl had explained to his followers that he had finally been giving out the orders to Piers, Susanna and the gang after four years on the production team.
“Far from being a ferocious lion – he was more pussycat!” Stuart noted in his tweet about Piers.
Another GMB production worker – who seemed to disagree – chipped in: “He went easy on you!”
And it seems Piers is also keen to maintain a reputation for being a little more imposing than a domestic cat, hinting with his remark on Saturday (21.09.19) afternoon that the director may regret his words.

Social media users also wanted to have their say on the matter, with one Twitter user suggesting it is Piers’ co-host who is really in charge.
“Bottom line is @susannareid100 runs that show, she just lets you think you do so your big ego gets stroked,” they claimed.
“Get in the jungle, pussycat,” said another cheekily, referring to Piers’ brag from earlier this week where he said he would take part in I’m A Celebrity for a £5million fee.
Repeating his terms, Piers pledged he would throw himself into the Bush Tucker trial challenges.
He vowed: “I’ll come and munch kangaroo testicles. Not a penny less.”
– Good Morning Britain airs on ITV, weekdays, from 6am
