Never one to hold back, Piers Morgan has told the nation why he thinks he would be an ideal Prime Minister.
The Good Morning Britain presenter put himself forward to run the country during the show this morning.
His co-host Susanna Reid was joking about Piers running for PM and said: “You would be a hopeless prime minister.”
Looking rather disgruntled, Piers then chipped in to explain why he thinks he would make a very good leader.
“Actually, I’d be brilliant. I’d be brilliant,” the 54-year-old began.
He then brought up his friendship with Donald Trump and insisted it would even give him an advantage.
Piers went on: “I’d have a very special relationship with the president of the United States…”
Susanna cheekily chimed in: “Oh yes, so we would get a trade deal.”
Unamused, Piers continued: “We would sort the new world order out and we would get stuff done.”
He then said what he would do if he was in Theresa May’s position and it involves being cutthroat.
“The first sign of a cabinet rebellion early on – bang- out the lot of you,” he ranted.
He added: “Leaders have to lead.”

The straight-talking presenter’s PM proposal was then met with rather mixed reviews from viewers.
One viewer tweeted that they would “definitely not” want Piers running things from No.10.
Another agreed, adding: “The fact we’re having this discussion illustrates just how bad things have got. I’m building a rocket and a bunker.”

However, others thought no nonsense Piers would be a good choice for Prime Minister.
