Piers Morgan was his usual straight-talking self on today’s Good Morning Britain as he tore into the British ex-wife of an ISIS commander.
Tania Joya lived in Syria with US jihadi John Georgelas, but fled the country in 2013. She’s now set up home in Dallas, Texas with the couple’s four children and says she hasn’t seen Georgelas for a year.
But after Tania suggested that her ex-husband has a good side, Piers let rip at his guest before halting the interview.
Raised in London, Tania, 33, met Georgelas through a Muslim matrimonial website in 2003.
The couple had four children and, inspired by their shared views, eventually moved to Syria to become a part of the Caliphate. Once there, Georgelas reportedly became one of ISIS’s most senior commanders.
However, after a few weeks, Tania realised that Syria wasn’t a place she wanted to bring up her kids and took them to the US, where she divorced Georgelas.
Clearly, though, Piers wasn’t convinced that Tania no longer has feelings for her ex-husband, and the presenter asked her if she still loves him.

Tania responded: “I don’t love him because I’m in love with him, I love him because he gave me four beautiful, lovely children.”
Piers spat: “But you don’t reject him as someone who’s part of a murderous cult?”
Tania answered: “If he’s caught, he needs to go to prison, of course.”
But Piers wasn’t finished yet. He continued: “So you reject extremism, but you still love a guy who’s an ISIS terrorist?”

“I love him like I love people,” Tania replied. “He was my best friend for ten years, even though he has his ups and downs – everybody has a good side and everybody has a bad side.”
At that point, a clearly riled Piers halted the conversation, saying: “You know what? I’m afraid ISIS terrorists don’t have a good side. And so, I’m afraid, we’re going to end the interview right there.”
His co-presenter Susanna Reid then chipped in: “ISIS doesn’t have a good side.”
