We’re used to Piers Morgan being an old grumpy-pants, but the Good Morning Britain presenter took things a step further on today’s programme when he seemingly threatened Sir Alan Sugar with VIOLENCE.
The two men have been at each other’s throats over comments made by Lord Sugar, 70, in regard to Piers’s TV career and his recent impersonations on GMB.
The tycoon, who reportedly watches the programme with his wife Ann, will appear as a guest soon to chat about the new series of The Apprentice.
And a fuming Piers, 52, made it clear what he planned to do to his nemesis when the two come face to face on the sofa.
Lord Sugar must’ve known he was going to cheese Piers off when he claimed he’d given the presenter his big break on telly.
Speaking at the launch of the new Apprentice series earlier this week, he said: “It was me that launched his television career – seriously, absolutely serious.
“He was the editor of The Mirror, and he got fired from there for his famous front-page thing. He wanted to do something in TV, and he actually phoned me up when he heard that Celebrity Apprentice was on.
“He said: ‘Please, can I do it?’ And that’s the first time he appeared on television.”

But just to make matters worse, he sent Piers an email demanding that he stop impersonating famous people on the morning show.
And Piers well and truly snapped on today’s programme. After reading out extracts from the email, in which Lord Sugar mocked his “stupid voices”, the host addressed those claims about his career.
“Really, Lord Sugar?” he spat. “That was in the middle of 2007. I’d already been the star of America’s Got Talent, the number-one show in America, for an entire year.”
Then, ignoring Sir Alan’s advice about his impersonations, he mimicked the businessman’s gruff London accent.
“So if you’re watching, you old growler, LEAVE IT OUT, RIGHT? JUST LEAVE IT OUT!”
Getting more and more agitated, he then warned: “We’ve got him on next week and I’m going to rip him to pieces.”

Susanna Reid, who – hilariously – had been pretending to fall asleep as Piers launched his tirade, piped up: “Well, Lord Sugar, congratulations – you’ve successfully wound up Piers Morgan this morning.”
But while Piers and Lord Sugar appear to be throwing all their energy into their little spat, viewers at home were less impressed.
One tweeted: “If the muppets were human, @piersmorgan and @Lord_Sugar would have to be the two old gits in the box.”
Another said: “Who the hell thought it was a good idea to employ an insulting man like Piers Morgan to put the UK in a [expletive] mood? Please give head wobble.”
And a third viewer observed: “The audible sigh from @susannareid100 and the bored looks on both ladies’ faces speak volumes about this.”
We get a feeling those two ladies are going to have their hands full when Lord Sugar appears on the show next month…
