Piers Morgan has celebrated his mum’s 75th birthday with a family party.
The Good Morning Britain co-host and chatshow king is often known for his forthright opinions and polarising views.
But he showed a softer side during his mum Gabrielle’s party, and his followers were quick to show their delight.

Piers uploaded a series of family portraits.
One snap – showing him and Gabrielle holding a huge bunch flowers – was captioned: “The birthday girl… Happy 75th, Mum!”
He also uploaded a picture of his dad, both toasting Gabrielle’s birthday with a glass of red.

Alongside pictures of himself with his mum and dad, Piers also posted a photo of him and his sister, Charlotte.
He told his 598,000 followers, “My lovely sister. @charlotte___tomlinson”
Soon some of them commented on the joyous family occasions.
Piers’ close friend and sparring rival, Lord Alan Sugar, said: “Hello mum you need a medal with that son.”
Meanwhile, Katie Piper posted: “Lovely, happy pictures from you today,” followed by a hands in the air emoji.
Another follower said: “Happy birthday, your mum’s looking amazing, you look very much like her.”

Gabrielle’s birthday party came at the end of a busy week for Piers.
He appeared on Question Time on Thursday night.
And then on Friday night, Michael Barrymore appeared on Life Stories.
During the emotional interview, Michael opened up about his drug addiction, sexuality, marriage break-up and the Stuart Lubbock incident.
