Piers Morgan slams “robot” Prince Harry calling his latest speech “guff”

Piers wants the old Harry back

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has blasted Prince Harry for being “like a robot” and suggested it’s Meghan’s fault for making him boring.

Harry was seen speaking last week at WE Day UK, an event set up to help young people drive positive social change around the world.

He told the crowd: “Your optimism is inspiring… you are the most engaged generation in history… you care about values, doing the right thing, and championing the causes that will shape your future.”

But according to Piers, some who heard the speech have labelled it “new age gibberish”.

What’s more, Meghan has been accused of writing her husband’s speech for him – and even preventing him from drinking any coffee or alcohol.

Piers really wasn’t happy about the change he saw in Harry’s behaviour.

He said: “I’m not being funny but what has happened to him? He’s not drinking, he’s not having any caffeine. He’s reading out this guff.”

Co-host Susanna Reid tried momentarily to defend Harry, insisting: “He doesn’t have to give up alcohol and caffeine. He has his own mind.”

But Piers ranted: “He doesn’t have his own mind. He’s like a robot!”

A clip of the speech was shown on GMB and Piers scoffed at the idea that Harry was the author, laughing: “Yeah Harry really wrote this.”

Harry was delivering his speech as president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

At one point he said “I’m now going to try and drag my wife on stage” before walking to the side, where she stood out of view, and leading her by the hand to the centre of the stage.

Meghan said nothing, but the audience continued to go wild and Harry told them: “Guys I am with you. And we are with you. Get to work.”

In Piers’ view it was something of an unpleasant moment. He said: “I grew up around very strong women. This kind of guff, they didn’t need it.”

It follows an attack on TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s cooking skills.

Taking to Twitter over the weekend, Piers slammed a vegan dish made by the Kitchen Nightmares star, saying the meal looked “utterly revolting”.
