Piers Morgan has suggested his youngest son Bertie switch to a different sport after spending the afternoon in A&E with him following another rugby injury.
The Good Morning Britain presenter tweeted two photos of his son wearing a sling as he sat in a hospital emergency department on Thursday.
Piers, 52, wrote: “One year on… same shoulder, same injury (dislocation) same cause (rugby tackle), same A&E department of same hospital. On the one positive note, thanks again to staff at Kingston Hospital for fantastic service.”
He then added a side note to Bertie: “Maybe time to switch to football?”

To be fair to Bertie, 17, he didn’t seem that bothered by his injury in the photos shared by Piers!
Fans of the former newspaper editor were quick to wish Bertie well and praised the hospital.
Others agreed with Piers that perhaps it was time for Bertie to give up rugby…
But many more said Bertie should stick with the sport and shared their own experiences and tips.
Piers shares son Bertie with his ex-wife Marion Shalloe, who is also mum to his sons Stanley and Spencer.
He has daughter Elise, six, with second wife Ceila Walden.
Piers’ tweet about his son being at A&E came shortly after he announced he’d just signed a new two-year contract extension with Good Morning Britain.
He wrote alongside a picture of Susanna Reid with her head on the studio desk: “BREAKING: Bad news for Britain, even worse news for @susannareid100…. I just signed a new deal to stay on @GMB for 2 more years. #TheFoghornStays.”
Naturally, it divided opinion with some fans excited at the prospect of more Piers and others warning they’ll be changing the channel for the next 24 months!
The journalist told Radio Times recently he actually resigned from GMB secretly last year because the horribly early starts each morning were just too difficult to handle.
But bosses persuaded him to stay by changing the time he’s needed at the studio.
Piers explained: “I actually quit in the summer. I said, ‘I’m out,’ because I couldn’t do it any more. Then we came to a new arrangement, which is great.”

According to reports, the TV star was previously asked to be in work for 4am, giving him two hours until GMB starts broadcasting at 6am.
But under his new deal, he only has to arrive at the TV studios at 5.30am.
His co-host Susanna Reid, however, still clocks in at 4am although Piers said that’s largely because she requires longer in hair and make-up than he does.
“The only reason, really, I had to go in so early was because the female stars all have to. It takes them longer because they get more attention and pressure on how they look, how their hair is and everything else,” said Piers.
“I’m lucky – five minutes of slap and on I go.”
