Piers Morgan clapped back at an online troll who sent him a foul-mouthed message claiming nobody likes him.
And the Good Morning Britain host, 55, mocked the social media user’s “eloquently phrased statement” as he warned him not to “play the popularity card”.
What did the troll say to Piers Morgan?
On Twitter, a user claimed it was a “fact” that people do not like the daytime TV presenter.
They wrote, in an expletive-riddled tweet: “Piers ur a [bleep] and no [bleeper] likes u! Fact.”
In his cool response, Piers pointed out that he has millions of Twitter followers, whereas the troll has little more than a dozen.

He wrote back: “Morning Shane, one hesitates to question such an eloquently phrased statement.
“But given I have 7,651,010 followers and you have 13, I’d be careful about playing the popularity card…”
Such an eloquently phrased statement.
In the replies, one of Piers’ followers said sarcastically: “What a great way to start the week with such kind words of support from such an eloquent writer. You are a lucky man, Piers.”
Another told him they were a fan, writing: “I like you. You say what most of us are thinking.”

‘Three million followers is good going’
But a third questioned Piers’ claim about having over seven million followers.
“Wasn’t it proven that more than 50 per cent of your followers weren’t real people?” they asked, adding: “And don’t forget that many don’t follow you because they like you.”

Someone else, defending Piers, reasoned: “Even three million followers is good going and if they don’t like him, why on Earth are they following him?”

Mocking the Sussexes
It follows a tweet Piers posted to mock Prince Harry.
Last week, the GMB host – who is no stranger to criticising the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – appeared to be in hysterics as he shared a video of a comedian poking fun at the Queen’s 35-year-old grandson.
In the clip, stand-up star Andrew Lawrence does an impression of Prince Harry denying involvement in the controversial new book about the Sussexes, Finding Freedom.
Piers re-posted it for his own followers alongside a string of laughing-crying emojis.
