Mum-to-be Christine Lampard has admitted she is unsure how she feels about breastfeeding – but has resolved to follow whatever works.
The 39-year-old, currently standing in as host on ITV’s Lorraine, is expecting her first child with husband Frank next month.
But during a discussion with Dr Hilary Jones earlier today, Christine revealed she has not made her mind up whether to nurse her own baby.
Asked whether she intends to breastfeed herself, the Northern Irish star was even-handed as she highlighted how some mothers endure difficulties.

She confessed: “It is one of those things.
“Of course you want to, and you want to do it to the best of your ability.
“But then you hear some stories where some women really struggle with it, really struggle for various reasons.”

Christine concluded: “[But] The baby has to be fed.
“So I’m just in the middle, where I will do what I need to do.”
Later in the show after Dr Hilary brought up a breastfeeding app, she joked: “There’s a lot to learn, isn’t there? For a first time mum!”
But despite admitting to some nerves about giving birth to her own child for the first time, Christine recently said how being a step-mum to Frank’s daughters had helped her prepare for motherhood.
She said: “I have had the girls since they were four and two and they are 13 and 11 now.
“So I’ve been through all the toddler years, the primary and secondary school bit and teenagers are around the corner… although the baby years is all new to me!
“So I’ll take it day by day really, like every other new mum.”
