This trip to the hospital comes after Lucy had to rush Roman to the hospital back in September. The two-year-old was put on a ventilator after Lucy found him ‘blue’ in his cot.
Why did Lucy Mecklenburgh take Roman to the hospital before?
The former TOWIE star explained that Roman suffers from a “viral-induced wheeze” that has seen him in and out of hospital for a while.
Speaking about the night she found Roman ill in his cot back in September on the Snot, Sweat and Tears podcast, Lucy said: “I watched him on the monitor and he seemed fine, and at 4 am something didn’t feel right.”
The model then went on to say: “I watched him on the monitor and he was moving very slowly, side to side, and I thought, ‘This doesn’t feel right and I want to go and see him.”

“I think it’s in us all and as mums, we just know don’t we?” she continued. “Anyway, Basildon Hospital and St. Mary’s in London, I just want to say a huge thank you. I was in the safest hands ever.”
What else did Lucy have to say about Roman’s illness?
Lucy, who is engaged to ex-Corrie star, Ryan Thomas, said she thinks isolation during the pandemic affected Roman’s immune system.
She added: “I don’t know this for a fact, but I think potentially Roman was born ten days before Covid and because he was kept so isolated – literally isolated for six months – he didn’t have a chance to fight off viruses.”
