This Morning weather presenter Becky Mantin managed to avoid a warm front spreading across her cheeks after a crucial component for her forecasts went missing.
Despite not having the handheld ‘clicker’ controlling the weather images shown on her screen display in the studio, Becky’s blushes were saved by alert production staff.
“I haven’t got my clicker so I’m going to be dependent on the people in the gallery,” she squirmed to Holly and Phil.
Soldiering on with her report detailing how the Siberian snowstorm will impact the UK, Becky clicked her fingers instead to prompt the map’s changes.
“Cue! There it is,” she said excitedly as the sequence flowed without a hitch.
“I didn’t even need a clicker!”
She told viewers should prepare for a week of cold weather, joking the country may very well “fall apart”.
Becky also said an area of deep pressure had been named by the Portuguese Met Office as ‘Storm Emma’ and would sweep across the UK on Thursday.
Elsewhere on the show, Shaun Ryder revealed he has no problems with washing his face in urine.
And viewers’ hearts were melted by the smile of a six-year-old model with Down’s syndrome as she recognised herself on TV and pointed towards the camera.
