Prince Charles has spoken on his concerns for son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s first child.
The Royal shared his worries about the environmental issues his grandchildren will be faced with and insisted that the younger generation “deserve a better future”.
During a visit to Ghana in November, according to Hello! and the Daily Telegraph Charles said: “I am about to have another grandchild actually. I suspect quite a few of you may too have grandchildren or will do soon.”
He added: “It does seem to me insanity if we are going to bequeath this completely polluted, damaged and destroyed world to them. All grandchildren deserve a better future.”

The 70-year-old Duke of Cornwall gave a passionate speech about plastic pollution and cleaning up the planet, pointing out the “disastrous consequences” that could lay ahead for everyone’s grandchildren.
Harry, 34, and actress Meghan, 37, are expecting their first child in the Spring next year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also keen to help raise awareness of environmental issues.
While in Australia with Meghan this year, Harry spoke on plastic pollution after their trip to South Melbourne beach.
He said: “There is literally plastic everywhere. And, you know, microplastics are a real problem, especially the microplastics from fast fashion. Did you know that’s one of the biggest culprits?”
Whilst visiting Tonga in October, the royal couple also politely declined a gift of a necklace carved from black coral at a market because harvesting the natural substance goes against sustainability practises.
