Prince George was adorably shushed by big cousin Savannah during the national anthem at Trooping the Colour today.
The four-year-old heir to the throne had a hand playfully clapped over his mouth and was made to be quiet as the Household Division played God Save The Queen below the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Cheeky Savannah, seven, the Queen’s great-granddaughter, even made his sister Charlotte giggle during the usually solemn music as she pretended to conduct the band.

Princess Charlotte then started tapping to the beat on the railing while the older members of the royal family stood silently.
Viewers watching the ceremony, marking Her Majesty’s official 92nd birthday, were quick to join in the fun and praised the children for their antics.

One tweeted: “Well Savannah obviously didn’t like Prince George’s rendition of the National Anthem.”
Another added: “When Prince George is singing the National Anthem and it’s doing your head in.”

A third wrote: “I do hope the delightful Savannah Phillips isn’t getting in trouble for ‘conducting’ the band during the National Anthem.
“And then silencing her cousin Prince George as he started to sing. So much fun to watch a real family.”

The prank happened just after a flypast by modern and historic RAF aircraft, culminating with the legendary Red Arrows, which the youngsters seemed to thoroughly enjoy as their pointed and waved to the sky.

It wasn’t the only moment involving the royal children to go off-script during the parade.
Charlotte had a minor slip on the balcony and began crying.
But her mum, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, stepped in to offer a cuddle after seeing she was upset, and Charlotte was soon laughing with Savannah and George again.
