With the due date of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s little one edging closer, the favourite baby names in the running have been shared by bookies.
They have slashed the odds on some monikers, with Victoria being a favourite if the royal couple have a girl.
Coral spokesperson Harry Aitkenhead told OK! magazine: “It won’t be long now until the latest Royal baby is welcomed into the family, and the name is always a popular thing for punters to bet on.
“At the moment it is Victoria that leads the way and is our favourite to be the name of Harry and Meghan’s first child, whilst famous Royal names Diana and Philip have also been popular in the betting.”
Coral revealed Victoria is the most popular choice, putting their odds to 8/1.
Diana, after Harry’s late mother, is also a frontrunner with odds at 10/1.
The top contenders for boys’ names, according to the betting site, are Albert and Philip at 10/1.
Bookies’ claims there was an influx of bets after the couple joined the royal family for Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday (19 December).
This suggests Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, may have chosen a name for their new arrival, despite the public still not knowing if they are having a boy or girl.
