Prince Harry is allegedly planning on proposing to Meghan Markle, with a £100,000 ring made from one of his late mum’s bracelets.
According to reports in the Daily Star, the Prince has asked royal jeweller Harry Collins to make his girlfriend a stunning emerald and platinum ring.
The couple have been dating for just over a year, having met in Canada when he was promoting his Invictus Games charity.
They got serious quickly, with Harry confirming their relationship officially last Christmas, something the royals never normally do.
It was rumoured that Meghan moved into Harry’s Kensington Palace apartment earlier this year.
She was also Harry’s plus one for the evening party of Pippa Middleton’s wedding last month.
Reports of the impending engagement follow today’s revelation that Harry almost quit royal life, only deciding to stay because of the Queen.
The Prince, once famed for his party lifestyle, revealed: “I spent many years kicking my heels and I didn’t want to grow up.”
He considered leaving his title behind, but then made a choice to use his fame to help others.
He added “We don’t want to be just a bunch of celebrities but instead use our role for good.”
This year Harry, Prince William and his wife Kate did just that and started their own charity Heads Together, to champion mental health.
Both Harry and William revealed this was something they were passionate about, having both sought help to deal with the death of their mum.
Harry recently spoke of how he had counselling 20 years after Princess Diana’s death and was now “in a good place”.
