Princess Eugenie and fiancé Jack Brooksbank have announced their wedding date.
The couple, who became engaged in Nicaragua last month, will marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Friday, October 12.
An announcement made through the Twitter account belonging to Eugenie’s father, The Duke Of York, said: “The marriage of Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank will take place on 12th October 2018.
“As previously announced, the wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.”
In an interview which aired on The One Show in January, the couple explained how the proposal happened one evening when the sun was setting against the backdrop of a “beautiful volcano”.

Eugenie said: “The lake was so beautiful and the light was such a special light I’d never seen.
“I actually said this is an incredible moment… then he popped the question to me!
“It was really surprising, even though we’d been together seven years.”
Eugenie added: “I was crying. It was a complete surprise.
“But it was the perfect moment and we couldn’t be happier.
“We knew it would end up this way.”
Eugenie, 27, and Jack, 31, announced their engagement through Buckingham Palace in late January.
They later posed for beautiful engagement photos in the palace’s Picture Gallery.
Jack proposed to Eugenie, whose mum is Sarah, the Duchess of York, with a padparadscha sapphire ring surrounded by diamonds.
Lucky girl!
St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle is the same venue where Prince Harry will tie the knot with Meghan Markle in May.
Among those sending congratulations to the happy couple was Eugenie’s mother Sarah.
She tweeted: “Total joy! They float with laughter and love.”
A statement released by Buckingham Palace confirmed: “The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank.
“Her Royal Highness and Mr Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month.
“The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course.”
Princess Eugenie is currently eighth in line to the throne, but will be pushed down to ninth when Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child is born in April.
Rumours of an engagement between Princess Eugenie and Jack had been swirling since 2016, when Jack accompanied her to the Queen’s home in Balmoral.
Royal watchers predicted Jack would use the occasion to ask for the Queen’s blessing to propose to Eugenie.

At the time, a source told the Daily Express: “You could call this weekend a rite of passage for Jack.
“There is no way he would be invited to stay with the Queen unless he was being welcomed into the royal fold and the bosom of the family.”
Well, looks like the royal watchers were right… if a little early with their prediction!
