Rapper Professor Green has admitted he sometimes felt like a “novelty” when he was hanging out with Millie Mackintosh’s posh mates.
The musician and rapper was married to Made In Chelsea star Millie for three years between 2013 and 2016.
But he says there was a big divide between his working class background and Millie’s swanky life.
Professor Green grew up on a council estate in Hackney, a very different upbringing from Millie’s posh Chelsea lifestyle.
And he says he sometimes felt out of sorts when meeting his in-laws, or Millie’s rich friends.
“I’ve been in places and felt like a bit of a novelty,” the star told The Times.
“Meeting certain people’s family members and almost having to prove myself.”

Millie’s luxurious lifestyle was shown on Made In Chelsea, as she and her friends made the most of their riches.
Professor Green added that he felt he didn’t have much in common with Millie’s friends, and often thought he was more like the older generations.
“I had nothing in common with anyone apart from the old eccentrics,” the star said. “And parents who’d actually worked for their lot.”
He even said some of his ex-wife’s friends chose to greet him with a fist-bump instead of shaking hands as they’d done with other guests.

Professor Green is promoting a new Channel 4 show called Working Class White Men which investigates the challenges faced by young men from the same background as him.
Sounds like it’ll be an interesting watch.
