ITV News favourite Rageh Omaar has been seen walking his dog in London.
It’s the first time he’s been seen in public since his mystery on-air illness on April 26.

Last month, Rageh was presenting the channel’s flagship when he was taken ill. Viewers raised their concerns after he was seen struggling to speak and slurring his words.
ITV confirmed that Rageh was taken to hospital for treatment after finishing the bulletin – something he insisted on doing.
In a statement at the time, ITV said: “We are aware that viewers are concerned about Rageh Omaar’s wellbeing. Rageh became unwell while presenting News at Ten on Friday and is now receiving medical care. He thanks everyone for their well wishes.”
Rageh later said in a statement: “I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and good wishes, especially all the medical staff, all my wonderful colleagues at ITV News, and our viewers who expressed concern. At the time, I was determined to finish presenting the programme. I am grateful for all the support I’ve been given.”
Now, just over three weeks on, Rageh has broken cover, with one onlooker commenting that the newsreader “looked well”.
‘Fingers crossed he is getting better’
In pictures obtained by The Sun, Rageh was pictured taking his dog for a walk over the weekend.
The broadcaster, 56, wore a waxed jacket and navy trousers as he walked in London.
One onlooker said: “It was nice to see him out and about. He looked well, so, fingers crossed, he is getting better and will be back on telly soon.”
Rageh’s return to work date hasn’t yet been revealed. He has returned to social media, however. Rageh liked a post earlier this month and also reshared one to his Twitter timeline. He has yet to write a post on social media himself.
